
Maureen Pollard is a registered social worker with 30 years experience working with individuals, families and groups. After working for 20 years on the front lines of child welfare in Ontario, Canada, she now leads a group private practice, specializing in grief, trauma, and resilience. Maureen is trained in culturally inclusive adult education, developing and delivers custom seminars and experiential workshops to professionals, volunteers and community groups.
Maureen Pollard is the author of The Twentieth Year: A Memoir of Miscarriage and a novel called Best Interests. Maureen is also a songwriter. Some of her songs help raise funds for Canadian charities: I Hope you Stay for World Suicide Prevention Day 2020, One Breath at a Time for International Survivor of Suicide Loss Day 2020, I’m No Hero for First Responder Day 2021, and Stone Angels for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day 2021.
